Business Trainee Opportunity in Logan Central

We are looking for a skilled trainee to join our business team in Logan Central.

• As part of our Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program, you will be required to undertake a Certificate I in Workplace Skills.
• You will have the opportunity to work in a community-focused placement performing rewarding and meaningful work in local Not for Profit Organizations.
• The contract is 18 weeks long, full-time, and based in Logan, QLD.

We will work with you to find a placement with local Not for Profit organizations to complete your Cert 1 in Workplace Skills. We will provide ongoing support as you learn business skills and grow your confidence.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed Year 10 of secondary school and have a genuine interest in working in a business environment. You must also be able to work as part of a team and interact with diverse people. A positive attitude is essential.

1. Attend the workplace on all days within the required hours as agreed between us and the Host Employer, and complete and submit accurate documentation to the SQW Program Coordinator by the designated timeframes.
2. Undertake and complete all required theory and practical assessment tasks as required under the traineeship program.
3. Provide administrative and clerical support to the Host Employer supervisor, including recording keeping and filing systems, responding to general enquiries and telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
4. Attend and participate in all group workshops, training events, and/or professional development activities as directed by the SQW Program Coordinator.
5. Follow our organisation's direction, including their policies and procedures and workplace instructions.
6. Participate in any on-the-job training.
