Midwifery Leadership Role

The position of Midwifery Unit Manager Level 2 presents a high-level clinical and operational leadership opportunity in maternity care.

This pivotal role is responsible for the strategic management of postnatal and maternity services, birthing units, and special care nurseries.

  • Strategic direction and operational management of the maternity service will be provided by the successful candidate.
  • Multidisciplinary team liaison to ensure seamless patient transitions will also be facilitated.

Key responsibilities include providing visionary leadership, expert clinical oversight, and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement among staff and patients.

Requirements
  • A registered midwife with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia is essential.
  • High-level clinical and operational management skills, including experience in managing human, physical, and financial resources, are required.
  • Passion for improving maternal and newborn health outcomes is also desirable.
