AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Strategic Delivery Lead to oversee the successful delivery of medium to large-scale power infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of projects connecting to the grid, including renewables and large load connections such as solar, wind farms, and data centres.

This role requires a high level of technical understanding of Electricity transmission and distribution projects. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of high-performing professionals, including specialists in design, engineering, procurement, and construction, across multiple work streams both internally and externally.

The position offers a 3/2 hybrid split between office and work-from-home, based in Southbank, and is part of the Development & Future Networks team. Some site travel and occasional overnight stays will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and guide workflow, setting operational and long-term project goals.
  • Actively support pre-contracts project development phase to produce commercially competitive proposals and drive AusNet results.
  • Lead the assessment and management of project and network risks and opportunities.
  • Risk management of the overall project from a project delivery, commissioning, and network perspective.
  • Financial management of projects, ensuring strong contract, commercial and financial risk management and accurate forecasting.
  • Resource management of AusNet and contracted staff resources to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets.
