Release Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead enterprise-level release management in complex ICT environments.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of uplifting release frameworks, tools, and documentation practices. They should also have a strong understanding of program governance, ICT delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and enterprise change processes.

This role involves coordinating with cross-functional delivery teams, maintaining oversight of interdependent release plans, and embedding governance practices that support the successful transition of projects into production environments.

You will lead release planning forums, go/no-go decisions, and deployment readiness assessments. You will review and uplift release and deployment processes, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with ITIL, change, and transition frameworks.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining high-quality release documentation: procedures, templates, checklists, runbooks, and decision logs. You will champion repeatable, automated, and auditable release practices and provide oversight and assurance for releases within large ICT programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and operational readiness requirements.

You will work with senior program and project managers to identify dependencies, risks, and impacts associated with major releases. You will participate in or lead governance forums to enforce release policies and ensure alignment with enterprise ICT strategy.

About the Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with senior executives and multi-disciplinary program teams. The ideal candidate should be able to analyze and structure thinking with a focus on risk, assurance, and performance metrics.

You should have experience working in or alongside PMO/governance bodies for major programs, familiarity with security and operational readiness requirements in government environments, and experience with enterprise deployment across cloud and hybrid platforms.
