We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer to join our in-house Legal and Company Secretarial Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic, commercial, and solutions-based advice to senior management and other stakeholders in the Loan Market Group.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' post-admission experience and a current, unrestricted QLD Practising Certificate or eligibility to acquire one. You will have excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships across large and varied stakeholder groups.

Key responsibilities will include providing expert and strategic legal advice on a range of matters, including commercial agreements, technology agreements, M&A, and policies. You will also be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as advising on commercial disputes and managing litigation matters for the business.

We are looking for a highly proactive and capable individual who can work independently and juggle multiple priorities. You will have strong organisational, communication, and program management skills, with the ability to influence and manage people.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and contribute to the growth and success of the Loan Market Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert and strategic legal advice to the business on a range of matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts
  • Advising on commercial disputes and managing litigation matters
  • Operate with high degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Liaise with external parties as required

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' post-admission experience
  • Current, unrestricted QLD Practising Certificate or eligibility to acquire one
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build lasting relationships across large and varied stakeholder groups
