We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead the delivery of major roads projects in Queensland, Australia. As a key member of our Transport team, you will be responsible for managing the design and technical aspects of these projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of medium and large-scale transport projects, providing design management and technical management skills to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients.
- Play a key leadership role in the growth and technical development of our transport team, with a focus on expanding our capabilities in the design of major road projects.
- Perform engineering duties as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in planning, design, and documentation of road designs and in the preparation of technical design reports and drawings.
- Support the transport team in pursuing new project opportunities by actively contributing to the preparation of proposals and commercial offers.
- Mentor junior engineers in the transport team and provide guidance and support in their pursuit of professional qualifications.
- An inclusive leadership style and a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering or related field, with a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) qualification preferred.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience working on transport projects, with a demonstrable track record in leading and delivering the design of major roads projects in Queensland.
- Strong technical skills and a detailed understanding of standards and local client requirements for the design of road infrastructure.
- Engaged industry connections, particularly with the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads.
