Key Role: Maintenance Technician
Job DescriptionAs a skilled Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect and maintain equipment regularly to ensure optimal production levels.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
- Assist with machine setup processes
- Conduct mechanical/electrical preventative maintenance as per schedule
- Respond promptly to equipment faults/breakdowns
- Pursue continuous improvement activities to enhance production capacity
- Effectively manage allocated assets, including spare parts and tools
- Promote and adhere to health and safety protocols throughout the facility
To succeed in this position, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Certificate III in Engineering
- Mechanical Trade (Fitter & Turner) qualification is mandatory
- Experience working with mechanical and pneumatic systems, as well as automation in a manufacturing environment, is highly desirable
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Understanding of OH&S requirements
- Exposure to PLC systems is advantageous, and training can be provided
Please note that flexibility to work day and some afternoon shifts when required, as well as Saturday overtime on a rotating basis, is essential.
