HR Manager Job Description

The Woolcock Institute of Medical Research is seeking a highly skilled HR Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping our human resources strategy and ensuring alignment with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • HR Leadership: Provide strategic guidance on HR-related matters, ensuring that our HR initiatives are aligned with our business goals.
  • Recruitment and Talent Management: Lead the recruitment process to attract top talent, and develop strategies to retain and engage our existing workforce.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement: Foster a positive work culture by driving employee engagement initiatives, and providing support to leaders and managers on HR-related matters.
  • Performance Management and Development: Oversee core HR programs, including performance management and succession planning, to ensure that our employees are equipped to meet the challenges of our organization.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that our organization complies with federal and state legislation, including award interpretation, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in HR management, with a focus on talent management, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, and excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
