We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Asset Inspector to join our team. As an Infrastructure Asset Inspector, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of infrastructure assets including roads, footpaths, buildings, public spaces, and stormwater systems.

About the Role

This 6-12 month contract position involves collecting asset inventory data, identifying, locating, classifying, and recording all attributes of assets using digital methods. You will also perform condition and defects inspections for buildings and infrastructure assets, including site inspections, condition assessments, defects identification, mapping, program preparation, and cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update the Council's Asset Management System with inventory information
  • Process data and calculate overall condition/risk scores regularly
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including vendors, developers, and contractors
  • Mark assets for approved renewal programs and attend to customer requests
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in asset inspections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or ability to learn new software
  • Effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and delivery outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
