Religious Education Coordinator

This is a pivotal role in building on the faith deeply embedded within our school culture, fostering an environment where spirituality, compassion, and commitment to justice thrive.

The successful candidate will ensure high-quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community served, leading a collaborative ministry of witness and service as part of our evangelising mission. They will contribute a deep knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and enhance the liturgical, sacramental, and spiritual life of the school.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring high-quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community served
  • Leading a collaborative ministry of witness and service as part of the evangelising mission of the Church
  • Contributing a deep knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and enhancing the liturgical, sacramental, and spiritual life of the school
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders, including the Parish Priest, parents, and Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Religious Education/Theology or commitment to complete within four years
  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)
  • Accreditation to teach RE
