Excellent opportunities exist for a Medical Imaging Assistant to join our Nuclear Medicine department.

About the Role

This is a dynamic role that involves working closely with our Nuclear Medicine Technologists to optimize the efficiency of the department and assist with the PET/CT scan process.

  • Collecting patients' previous imaging reports
  • Importing external imaging onto the hospital PACS and transferring images to other hospitals (with training)
  • Assisting with setting up patients on the scanner
  • Reconstructing patient images
  • Using radiology information software for data entry

The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of medical terminology, high-level computer literacy skills, and excellent communication skills. They will also be able to function effectively as part of a team, manage their time efficiently, and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and complete a National Police Check within the last 6 months. You must also have Australian residency or full working rights.
