Electrical Engineering Leader for Renewable Energy Projects

We are seeking a seasoned electrical engineering leader to spearhead the development and delivery of large-scale onshore renewable energy projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical teams in the design, construction, and operation of MV/HV electrical infrastructure for solar power plants.

  • Developing technical design specifications and tender reports for HV/LV substations
  • Designing primary equipment and preparing deliverables for substation feasibility studies, reports, programmes, and cost estimation

The role requires strong expertise in transmission and distribution systems, including equipment sizing and protection system design.

  • Reviewing HV plant aspects of projects, including layouts, earthing designs, and reports
  • Collaborating with contractors to negotiate technical requirements for equipment specifications, testing, and commissioning

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in electrical engineering and extensive experience working as a design engineer or manager in EHV systems or HV/LV systems.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in substation design industry
  • Fluent English spoken and written, current driving license, additional languages a plus
  • International working experience or globally-projected work experience
  • Strong interest in renewable energy
  • Proactive and able to prioritize workload
  • Autonomous, adaptable, and multi-skilled
