About the RoleThis is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a high level of expertise in health and wellbeing. As a Health and Wellbeing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our employees have a safe and healthy work environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist injury management and rehabilitation support to drive return to work outcomes for non-work and work-related injuries
- Developing and implementing health and wellbeing initiatives that promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver health and wellbeing strategies that support the needs of the business
- Providing leadership and coaching to senior leaders to promote a culture of health and wellbeing
- Analyzing injury data to identify trends and develop proactive and preventative mitigation strategies
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Health and Wellbeing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in injury management, vocational rehabilitation, or workers' compensation
- Subject matter expertise in managing complex workers' compensation portfolios
- Experience in integrating person-centred care models, workers' compensation legislation, and business KPIs
- Excellent understanding of injury mechanisms, treatment requirements, rehabilitation, recovery, and return to work timeframes
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work in a dynamic environment
- Tertiary qualification in a health practitioner discipline
- Working knowledge of relevant workers' compensation, health, safety, and injury management legislation
