Exciting opportunity for a Groundsperson/Labourer to join our sports turf team at Cricket Central in Sydney.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Groundsperson/Labourer to assist our team with various tasks related to cricket pitch maintenance, including maintaining high-performance natural turf cricket wickets to elite training and match standards, undertaking activities related to pitch preparation and post-match recovery, and maintaining outfield areas to ensure consistent, safe, and visually presentable playing surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high-performance natural turf cricket wickets to elite training and match standards
  • Undertake activities related to pitch preparation and post-match recovery
  • Maintain outfield areas to ensure consistent, safe, and visually presentable playing surfaces
  • Operate machinery and perform basic servicing and machinery upkeep activities
  • Carry out weed and pest control programs

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid white card and driver's licence
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
  • Physical stamina with ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods
  • Passion for sport, particularly cricket
