Surgical Veterinary Nursing Opportunity

Our organization is seeking an experienced and passionate Surgical Veterinary Nurse to fill a Full-Time position.

The successful candidate will have strong interest and experience in surgical procedures and patient care. A background in referral surgical nursing is highly desirable, although not essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a forward planner with excellent and clear communication skills.

  • Collaborate with other specialist nursing teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for our Surgical patients.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care, assist in setting up for and assisting in a range of specialist surgical procedures, CT, radiography, charting and more.
  • Insert intravenous and urinary catheters, run internal and arrange external diagnostic tests, take high-quality radiographs, administer anaesthetic (including intubation) and intensive care monitoring.

We provide our nurses with real responsibility in managing cases and the hospital. Keeping clients informed and happy – providing advice, answering questions and soothing their fears is a significant part of the job.
