Role Overview

Milpera State High School aims to maximise the potential of every student in a socially just and culturally inclusive environment. Our educational service focuses on meeting learners' needs to achieve the best learning outcomes for our students and their families.

Our school teaches English language skills across curriculum areas and provides settlement services to newly arrived immigrant and refugee background young people, preparing them for living and studying in Australia.

We have approximately 500 students attending our school each year, with continuous enrolments and exits throughout the year.

Job Responsibilities

The successful applicant will lead the delivery of our teaching and learning program, ensuring high-quality EAL/D Professional Development. They will also be responsible for developing and storing our curriculum and resources, delivering our collegial engagement program, and working closely with our teaching team to achieve high level outcomes for students.

A key focus will be on implementing our Signature Pedagogical Practices to ensure effective teaching and learning strategies. Our school is a dynamic environment where staff from diverse cultural backgrounds work together to achieve our goals.
