We are seeking an experienced Scientist to join our team at Healius, a leading healthcare company in Australia. As a Diagnostic Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for performing manual and automated diagnostic testing, including specimen dissection and result execution for pathological diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Assist with stock control and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
- Comply with records maintenance and recording of results in line with protocols.
- Maintain equipment and operate it in accordance with protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including routine and audit-related tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and development of new assays as required.
- Participate in training staff and provide guidance on laboratory procedures.
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding test results or referrals as necessary.
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the respective discipline.
- Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify and implement quality and service improvement activities.
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
