Job Opportunity

The Indirect Tax Accountant will support the administration and compliance of indirect taxes for a group of businesses.

This role involves maintaining records to monitor and evaluate various franchisee businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with GST compliance for the GST Group and joint venture investments.
  • Prepare FBT returns for the group and maintain processes to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accounting and tax records to support the monitoring and evaluation of Franchisee business.
  • Reconcile BAS payments and refunds for Franchisor Reports of franchised complexes and liaise with Administration Managers.
  • Maintain and register Australian Business Numbers for all members of the group.
  • Provide ad-hoc indirect tax advice, including GST implications affecting new initiatives and transactions.
  • Report and reconcile PAYG accounts, analyse payroll reports received from an external source, and perform monthly payroll tax calculations and annual reconciliations.
  • Evaluate Indirect Tax policies and procedures against a tax framework.
  • Liaise with the ATO as required.
