The Building Maintenance Officer is a newly created role within the facilities management team at Kingfisher Recruitment Pty Ltd. This position is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities to the highest standard, while also providing a high level of customer service to our staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and complete reactive maintenance repairs in a timely and efficient manner
- Coordinate and audit specialist sub-contractor works to ensure quality and compliance
- Develop and implement maintenance routines and facilities management strategies to optimize asset utilization and minimize downtime
- Provide input and support into the development of maintenance and asset lifecycle planning
- Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues, and provide solutions to minimize disruptions
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to ensure seamless delivery of services and support
- Strong experience in commercial building maintenance, with a trade qualification highly desirable
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues and equipment breakdowns
- Expertise in undertaking asset audits using industry software platforms
- In-depth knowledge of current building safety and compliance requirements
- Input and manage asset data and routine maintenance plans using the CMMS system
- Responsible for the coordination and supervision of sub-contractors
- Strong EQ and ability to empathize with staff and clients
