Transport Coordination Role

We are seeking a reliable and organised Transport Coordinator to join our team in Western Australia.

This is a fast-paced and hands-on role responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient day-to-day coordination of metro and regional deliveries, working across contract carriers and 3PL partners.

You will be responsible for coordinating daily allocation and scheduling of metro and regional transport consignments, monitoring all deliveries to ensure on-time performance and accurate confirmations, ensuring Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance, including driver training and process documentation, collaborating with the Cross-Dock and Transport Operations teams to resolve service issues, assisting with time-slot bookings, pre-delivery audits, and operational administration, communicating regularly with internal teams and customers to provide updates and manage expectations, and meeting key operational KPIs including DIFOT, CoD, utilisation and cost-per-cube metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily allocation and scheduling of metro and regional transport consignments

  • Ensure Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance, including driver training and process documentation
  • Collaborate with the Cross-Dock and Transport Operations teams to resolve service issues
  • Assist with time-slot bookings, pre-delivery audits, and operational administration
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams and customers to provide updates and manage expectations
  • Meet key operational KPIs including DIFOT, CoD, utilisation and cost-per-cube metrics

Requirements:

  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent; Certificate IV in Logistics or similar (desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a transport, warehousing or logistics coordination role
  • Knowledge of transport operations and CoR compliance obligations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • A willingness to work flexibly, including outside of standard business hours, to meet business or customer requirements
