Personal Development Assistant

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to take on a key role in supporting the therapy program of our participants. In this capacity, you will work under the guidance of highly qualified Allied Health professionals to carry out duties that complement the participant's goals.

As a Personal Development Assistant, you will play a vital part in enabling the participant to develop greater independence and work towards reaching their full potential. Your role will involve carrying out face-to-face and non-face-to-face tasks that bring life-changing experiences to participants.

You will be equipped with a mobile device to communicate with your coordinator, therapist, and access systems. The Personal Development Assistant will be a critical component of the service delivery between the participant and the therapist.

In this role, you will engage the participant using your empathetic nature to model components of a new routine or skill, and provide prompting when needed. You will also work within the scope of the role, respecting the boundaries of a Personal Development Assistant and that of a therapist.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to maintain clear focus on the goals and outcomes of our participants. They will also be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work autonomously.
