About the Project

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team for the Refresh Vaucluse and Diamond Bay project. This project involves the construction of new infrastructure to divert wastewater flows from the ocean to the Bondi Resource Recovery Facility, improving harbour and coastal water quality, and protecting the health of the community and marine ecology.

Project Scope
  • Construction of a new pump station in Parsley Bay.
  • Installation of 1.8km of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) pipelines.
  • Upgrade of existing infrastructure, including vent shafts and manholes.
About the Opportunity

We are looking for a talented and experienced Project Engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of this project. As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with our Project Manager to manage project and team performance, and drive successful project outcomes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with site supervision to ensure activities are executed according to plan, while promoting a culture of safety and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Preparing and managing daily programming of site activities, maintaining detailed records and progress reports.
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients and authorities, to ensure timely communication and documentation flow.
  • Monitoring and tracking project costs, subcontractor performance, and material quality to ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Supporting the Project Manager in implementing safety, quality, and environmental plans, ensuring all site personnel adhere to established procedures.
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Manager and site supervisors to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Providing training and mentoring to Site Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Civil Engineer, with a strong background in infrastructure projects, ideally with experience in water infrastructure.
  • A natural problem-solver who thrives on tackling complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions.
  • A proactive approach to fostering a strong safety culture on site and a commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our people.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable effective collaboration with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is advantageous.
