Project Engineer Job Description

Rix Asset Maintenance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our NSW team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the on-site project team to ensure timely project delivery within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Manage construction planning and scheduling, including leading the implementation and management of project Quality Systems and ITPs.
  • Oversee major procurement activities, including quote requests and supplier management.
  • Effectively manage subcontractors, monitor costs, and prepare monthly progress claims.
  • Monitor and review the performance of direct reports and provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Uphold and apply all relevant standards and policies, demonstrating ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Highly regarded: Experience with TMR and RMS specifications.
  • Competent in understanding and promoting HSEQ imperatives and procedures.
  • Excellent planning, organising, and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence others.
  • Hold proven verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Excel and MS Project applications.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated, with the ability to pass a project-specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
