Job SummaryWe are seeking talented academics to join our team as Education Focused Academics in various disciplines within the Faculty of Engineering. As an Education Focused Academic, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students, developing innovative curricula, and contributing to research in your field.
This is a full-time continuing academic position with a competitive salary range of $105,314 p.a. - $199,585 p.a., plus 17% superannuation and access to up to AUD $30K to support education-related activities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the University's expectations and standards for education;
- Contribute to curriculum design, review, and innovation, ensuring outstanding educational delivery and outcomes;
- Maintain relevant Work, Health, and Safety requirements and management, including laboratory and/or field work;
- Develop and refine education research skills, particularly in evaluating and improving teaching and learning;
- Contribute to governance, leadership, and engagement work in your school;
- Undertake a leadership role in educational innovation and curriculum development.
- A PhD or nearly completed PhD in an academic field relevant to the discipline;
- Experience in assessment, feedback, and learning by design;
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives;
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching;
- Sound experience of teaching and learning, and ability to contribute to teaching at undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels;
- High-level written and verbal communication skills;
- Capacity to engage students and enable a supportive, inclusive learning environment;
- Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, staff, and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $105,314 p.a. to $199,585 p.a., plus 17% superannuation, and access to up to AUD $30K to support education-related activities.
