Job Description

As a key member of our DC team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. Reporting to the DC Supervisor and/or DC Team Leader, you will be responsible for daily DC operations, including picking, unloading, loading, and counting products, with a focus on Safety, Service, Cost, and Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident Reporting: Report all incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazards to the DC Manager in a timely manner.
  • Product Handling: Handle products safely in accordance with safety and handling induction/training.
  • Compliance: Comply with all WH&S policies and procedures.
  • Safe Working Practices: Ensure that all individuals on-site follow relevant Safe Working Practices (SWPs) as per National Safety Plan.
  • Training and Processes: Implement appropriate training and processes to minimize incidents/injuries.
  • Stock Receipt and Processing: Receive and process stock into the warehouse according to company procedures.
  • Stock Transfer: Transfer stock to designated storage areas as per company procedures.
  • Picking and Cycle Counts: Pick stock to picking lanes in line with company procedure and conduct cycle counts.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other suitable duties as requested by Supervisors or Managers in other areas of the business, including but not limited to cleaning, receiving, returns, dispatch, and administration.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a dynamic team to develop better and safer procedures.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes to achieve optimal efficiency.
  • DC Housekeeping: Maintain DC Housekeeping.
Requirements
  • Warehouse Experience: Warehouse experience is required.
  • Preferred Experience: Preferred experience working with appliances, furniture, or large bulky items, although not essential.
  • Safety Focus: Strong safety focus with knowledge and experience in safe manual handling.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail.
  • Multitasking: Proficient in multitasking and has experience in it.
  • Team Player: Excellent team player.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills.
  • Proactive Attitude: Possesses a proactive and can-do attitude.
Additional Information
  • Work Arrangement: Casual / Part Time (Approx 2 days per week)
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
