Recycling Equipment Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled recycling equipment operator to join our team on a casual basis. This role involves operating fast-paced recycling machinery, assisting with the collection and sorting of recyclable materials.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating semi-automated sorting machines, troubleshooting issues, and engaging with customers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate bulk sorting equipment for recyclable materials
  • Use forklifts to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers
  • Manage point of sale systems for accurate sales and refund transactions
  • Assist with housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, and reporting faulty equipment needing repair
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service
  • Experience using forklifts and current valid Forklift Licence
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or production environment
  • Capacity to perform manual physical tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
  • Thorough understanding of workplace health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment
