Space Governance Research Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Officer to join our team in the field of space governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and conducting research associated with various research projects, including the regulation of space activities in Australia and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and conduct research associated with various research projects
  • Assist in the development of research protocols, design, and planning
  • Work with a range of computer systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines
  • Liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively and productively within a team

Requirements:

  • University graduate in the humanities, with a focus on space activities, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training, or experience
  • Knowledge of research protocols, design, and planning
  • Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team

Working Arrangements:

The role will involve at least 250 hours spread unevenly across approximately 18 months. In addition to workshops themselves, it will also involve surges for intensive periods of preparation for workshops, and initial preparation of project deliverables.
