Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our Adults Safeguarding Team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in an adult social work team and will be responsible for undertaking safeguarding enquiries, identifying concerns, and promoting the welfare of adults at risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake Safeguarding Enquiries: Conduct thorough and timely safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act 2019.
  2. Identify Concerns: Identify concerns in relation to allegations of abuse or neglect, and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults.
  3. Assess and Support: Work with adults at risk and their families/carers to assess their needs and provide support to promote their welfare.
  4. Liaise with Professionals: Liaise with other professionals, including healthcare professionals, to ensure a comprehensive approach to safeguarding adults.
  5. Report Writing: Write clear and concise reports to document safeguarding enquiries and actions taken.
  6. Home Visits: Conduct home visits to assess the needs of adults at risk and provide support.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: DipSW or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration: Registered with the HCPC.
  • DBS: Current DBS clearance.
  • Driving: Must be a car driver.
