Senior Civil Litigation Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Civil Practice Group at Avant Law. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of lawyers and paralegals, providing high-quality legal services to our members, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the civil litigation team, ensuring billing targets are met and high-quality legal services are provided.
- Supervise and develop lawyers and paralegals, providing guidance and support to ensure career development and growth.
- Coordinate resourcing and workflows within the civil team, ensuring efficient and effective management of claims.
- Support the delivery of medico-legal advisory services to Avant members, providing advice and assistance as needed.
- Conduct own civil file load, with scope to manage non-civil matters such as professional conduct and coronial cases.
- Advise and support the Head of Practice, Legal, and other stakeholders on state legal trends, issues, and developments.
- 10+ years' PQE ideal.
- Experience in leadership or strong interest in developing people leadership skills.
- Defence medical negligence and insurance law experience ideal.
- Demonstrated health law knowledge.
- Proactive in developing relationships and understanding member, business, and team requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
