Responsibilities

  • Establish a positive and supportive home environment for young people, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.">
  • Provide transportation for school, appointments, and community activities, ensuring their safe and timely arrival and departure.">
  • Foster the development of skills and socialization within the local community, encouraging positive pro-social peer interactions.">
  • Support the administration of medications and associated reporting requirements for children on Child Protection orders.">
  • Provide trauma-informed care to young people who display complex behavioral issues and traumatic backgrounds.">
  • Engage in the Trauma Recovery practice framework and undertake Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within the first three months of employment.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • Enrolment into a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Work, Social Work, or similar.">
  • An Australian Driver's License (P2 or higher).">
  • A Working With Children Check (Blue Card).">
  • A Current First Aid & CPR certificate.">
  • The ability to work a mixture of day, night, and weekend shifts as required.">
