Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide trusted financial advice to key stakeholders, aligning business direction and financial strategies.
  • Promptly identify and mitigate business risks, optimising performance and ensuring compliance.
  • Support Project Managers and Directors with pricing and commercial analysis, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and timely billings.
  • Ensure project setup in the project management system accurately reflects commercial terms and billing requirements.
  • Conduct monthly analytical reviews of projects, engaging with stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar Finance role or with transferable skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic and action-oriented approach, with a willingness to get involved at a hands-on level.
  • Strong adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality.
  • Experience in a professional service, construction, or project environment, with a thorough understanding of work in progress concepts.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-financial audiences.
  • Experience with implementing new approaches and processes, and developing and analysing budgets and forecasts.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, financial transaction systems, and data analytics tools.
