Job Description:

We are seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing governance and leadership to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Identifying and monitoring changes to environmental laws and regulations, raising concerns and potential challenges to internal stakeholders.
  • Assessing environmental compliance for existing operations, joint ventures, acquisitions, and new projects.
  • Supporting the implementation of new approvals for operational activities.
  • Guiding locations in establishing, reviewing, and auditing environmental compliance management programs and integrating compliance expectations into day-to-day operations.
  • Representing the regional environmental function in the businesses' long-term planning strategy.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate environmental compliance strategies into operations.
  • Facilitating sharing of compliance solutions and best practices among regional and global operations.
  • Supporting technical studies and environmental impact assessments as required by relevant legislation.
  • Leading compliance negotiations and managing resolution strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

For this role, we require a degree qualification in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or Engineering. You must have extensive experience in the environmental field, with a track record of managing major environmental approvals in the industry.
