Job Title:

Environmental Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to support the delivery of Operations Environment Plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

About this role:

  • Support the development of revisions to Operations Environmental Plans working with operations teams and consultants in delivering approvals.
  • Assist the delivery of the operations environment work plan, displaying ownership in planning, coordination, and delivery of risk and Management of Change assessment processes and environmental approvals.
  • Seek out and implement productivity and quality improvements to environmental compliance processes and increase efficiency and accuracy of environmental data reporting processes.
  • Undertake internal environmental inspections and support external inspections and audits.
  • Coordinate asset risk identification and management documentation updates,
  • Tracking and advising on environmental compliance requirements and undertaking associated environmental reporting activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing Offshore Environment Plans is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • You should have experience managing change initiatives in line with local cultural, social, and regulatory conditions.
  • A Bachelor degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Risk Management or a relevant degree is necessary.
  • You must have a perspective and understanding of offshore oil and gas operations.
  • Familiarity with the Australian environmental regulatory requirements, experience with environmental impact and risk assessments, and project execution in Australia is highly desirable.
