Job Title: Compassionate Home Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate home support worker to join our team. As a Specialised Carer, you will provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families and healthcare professionals. You will be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.

  • About the Role: As a home support worker, your primary responsibility will be to provide personal care and support to clients in their own homes. This may include assisting with daily living activities such as showering, dressing, and preparing meals.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Providing personal care, including assistance with showering and dressing
    • Helping with household tasks, such as laundry and light housekeeping
    • Providing transportation to appointments and assisting with shopping
    • Assisting with medication management
  • Requirements:
    • You must be patient, empathetic and understanding of the needs of older people
    • Previous experience working with older adults or in a caregiving role is highly desirable
    • Valid driver's licence and access to an insured, reliable vehicle (min. Third Party Property Insurance)
    • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is ideal but not necessary for all roles
