Regional IT Coordinator Job Description

This is a customer-facing role that requires working closely with the Regional IT Manager to manage assigned regional team members. The primary responsibility of this role is to support regional IT operations and service delivery.

The day-to-day tasks involve responsible for IT service delivery in the geographic region, providing customer service and serving as an escalation point for unresolved end-user issues, reviewing and auditing service management reports, and contributing to overall reporting maturity.

The successful candidate will need to have tertiary or industry qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent), 3 years' experience working in an IT environment, valid driver's license, and demonstrated capability for problem-solving, decision-making, sound judgment, and assertiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for IT service delivery in the geographic region of oversight.
  • Provide customer service and serve as an escalation point for unresolved end-user issues.
  • Review and audit service management reports, escalating data as appropriate, reviewing data with the team to drive service improvement, and contribute to overall reporting maturity.
  • Work closely with the Regional IT Manager to provide facilities planning services related to IT infrastructure provisioning for office growth/expansions, moves, closures, and consolidations.
  • Participate in the investigation of alleged security breaches by helping to determine root cause, impact, remediation, and assisting with disciplinary actions and legal or criminal matters associated with such breaches.
  • Conduct career development and performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Ensure that any incidents, situations, service outages, or vulnerabilities, which could negatively impact the security or integrity of LAN/WAN infrastructure, are immediately reported as per Security Incident Response procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary or industry qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent)
  • 3 years' experience working in an IT environment required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated capability for problem-solving, decision-making, sound judgment, and assertiveness
