As a Mental Health Nurse, you will contribute to positive health outcomes for Defence Force staff in a multidisciplinary team of medical and allied health professionals.
This role requires an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Registered Nurse who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform intake assessments and risk assessments to identify patient needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency care as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address patient mental health needs.
- Deliver programmatic treatment interventions to promote patient well-being.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient support.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Credentialed with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) or minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Registered Nurse general registration experience within the previous 5 years in mental health in a primary health setting or specialist mental health setting.
- Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
