About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at bta Sales. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a pivotal role in selling lighting solutions for various commercial, hospitality, and retail projects across the Sydney market.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical engineers, lighting designers, architects, and interior designers to provide innovative lighting solutions for commercial projects.
  • Provide technical support, including product suitability, specifications, and availability, to ensure accurate product application.
  • Manage the sales lifecycle, from initial contact through to project completion, to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Interpret plans, project drawings, and 3D renders to ensure correct product application and provide technical support to clients.
  • Conduct face-to-face presentations and product demonstrations with clients to showcase our lighting solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project management and lighting design, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and ensure their expectations are met throughout the project.
  • Deliver regular feedback to management on project updates, sales pipeline, and customer feedback.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in lighting specification sales, ideally working with various electrical engineers, lighting designers, and architects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of lighting products and standards.
  • Proven track record in managing project lifecycles from conception through to delivery.
  • Ability to interpret project drawings and specifications to ensure accurate product application.
