Join Brown's Mart, a leading performing arts organisation in the Northern Territory, as we seek an experienced General Manager to lead our team.
About the RoleThe General Manager will provide strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of our Strategic Plan, annual Artistic Program, and business development activities. This role is responsible for effective recruitment and management of a team, allocation of resources, and implementation of business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Deliver the Board-endorsed Strategic Plan, manage ongoing strategic risk monitoring, and achieve KPIs.
- Business Development: Work with the Board to identify, design, and deliver business development and fundraising plans to meet budgeted income targets.
- Financial Management: Lead the organisation's annual budgeting process, manage financial control systems, and prepare financial reports.
- Venue, Technical & Equipment Management: Manage compliance with the NTG Licence Agreement, oversee maintenance and repairs, and ensure proper preparation of buildings in severe weather events.
- Staff Management: Lead a strong workplace culture, manage recruitment and induction, and maintain a high standard of Work Health and Safety.
- Marketing: Provide oversight of marketing and communications functions, manage corporate and external communications, and lead marketing and public relations.
- Governance: Maintain regulatory compliance, ensure safe work practices, and implement the Brown's Mart Risk Management Plan.
We are seeking a high-level leader with strategic and management skills, financial analysis and reporting skills, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in fundraising, sponsorship, and grant writing, as well as experience in a leadership position in the arts.
