Job Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic leader to drive the development and delivery of key initiatives within our sector.

  • Develop and lead projects in areas strategically important for SA, focusing on commercial performance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new products, services, or standards solutions in new areas or ways, driving sustainable growth and value creation.
  • Identify and pursue new market development opportunities and offerings across the value chain, leveraging industry and government connections.
  • Build initial agreement in new, difficult, or contentious areas of activity or where stakes are high, fostering effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Manage complex stakeholder and industry issues as they arise, applying expertise and judgment to mitigate risk and ensure positive outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders from industry, government, and the community, facilitating open communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure awareness of key strategic activities among industry and government through public presentations, networking events, and other engagement strategies.
  • Provide insights on industry and government trends, opportunities, and risks, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Develop submissions and proposals in priority areas, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with colleagues, mentoring and delegating project work, with potential for formalized reporting arrangements.

About You

  • Hold a degree or equivalent post-secondary qualification in an appropriate field, such as business, engineering, or technology.
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in high-level stakeholder/client engagement and project delivery, with a track record of success and growth.
  • Have developed products and services with proven commercial performance, demonstrating expertise in product management and strategy.
  • Be an experienced public speaker and panelist, comfortable presenting ideas and perspectives to diverse audiences.
  • Considerable experience within the Critical and Emerging Technologies sector is highly desirable, as is people management expertise.
