About the Opportunity

As a senior mobile engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining mobile applications. You will collaborate with offshore and onsite development teams to utilise cutting-edge technology and build engaging user experiences.

You will ensure exceptional service delivery by:

  • Designing, implementing, and testing mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
  • Contributing to and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Ensuring code quality through contributing and participating in code reviews.
  • Maintaining code in accordance with security guidelines.
  • Participating in the entire application development lifecycle, focusing on development and debugging where necessary.

Key responsibilities include having intermediate to advanced experience of application architecture, mobile design patterns, concurrency, and performance. You will also learn and implement new technologies as per demand.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to create seamless mobile experiences.

You will have the opportunity to mentor junior developers, provide responsive support, and undertake corrective action in areas of specialisation.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Mathematics, or Computer Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in developing native mobile applications using Java and Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS).
  • Experience working with backend technologies - RESTful JSON APIs and microservices.
  • Ability to interpret and implement Figma designs.
  • Exposure to multiple software development methodologies and styles.
  • Knowledge and solid understanding of the end-to-end SDLC.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritise tasks and scope of development.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment.
