Job Title: Trades Assistant

The primary objective of this role is to provide assistance to experienced tradesmen and supervisors in a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist other tradespeople on a daily basis, ensuring the smooth operation of our team's activities.
  • Participate in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Fabricate and splice rubber and PVC belts as required by our operations.
  • Perform pulley lagging, belt installation, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with our standard operating procedures.
  • Undertake equipment maintenance and general factory duties to ensure our facilities are well-maintained.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in trade assistance or a related field is highly valued.
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S principles and practices is essential for this role.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8am - 2:30pm
