About the Role

">

The HSS Manager will lead a team across multiple locations providing leadership and direction in HSS technical and strategic improvement initiatives. This is a high-profile role requiring strategic thinking which translates into operational practices.

You will build capability and capacity within HSS through team development, coaching and alignment of project delivery teams.

In this role, you will:

  • ">
  • Develop and lead a strong capable team to deliver effective HSS services.">
  • Establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.">
  • Define and drive effectiveness and standardization of processes.">
  • Develop and implement HSS strategy in collaboration with Operational and Functional partners.">
  • Support the delivery of Minerals Australia and Global HSS Strategy and key HSS priorities.">
  • Build HSS capability and capacity within project teams through coaching and mentoring.">
  • Participate in the governance of the HSS program.">
  • Manage and support the execution of work that is the accountability of the HSS team.">

This dynamic role will support Minerals Australia Projects with a diverse team and will cover projects supporting WA Iron Ore.

About You

">

You will be an experienced people leader with demonstrated experience leading a team in the mining or manufacturing industry. You have a passion for developing others through coaching and mentoring.

You will also have:

  • ">
  • 10 years of experience in HSS or related field.">
  • Experience in Projects or Construction is highly regarded.">
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated capability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders.">
  • Well-developed professional technical expertise in one or more HSS areas.">
  • Tertiary degree in a health, safety, security and emergency management or related field.">
  • Detailed knowledge of key concepts and practices related to effective management of HSS risks.">
