Rokon Pty Ltd is a leading civil contractor with over 20 years of experience in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

We are currently seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join our team, providing engineering and project management expertise in the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of our projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure documentation requirements, internal procedures, ITPs, and other requirements applicable to allocated projects are available for reference and implementation on each site/stage.
  • Document and communicate quality and HSE requirements for each project to the responsible Site Supervisor.
  • Manage contracts and technical engineering specifications for each project.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including subcontractors, councils, and relevant authorities.
  • Collaborate with administration and site management to ensure the flow of materials as required.
  • Manage project costs and timelines and escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Organize project meetings and ensure project status minutes are completed and distributed.
  • Investigate cost, claim, and overrun anomalies and address them accordingly.
  • Forecast final costs and provide regular analysis and updates of these forecasts as each job progresses.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on engineering and project activities as required by Management.

About You:

  • You should have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years' engineering experience within the civil construction industry, with residential and subdivision exposure.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Estimating from first principles.
  • Skill in MS Office applications, including MS Project and Excel.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to challenge existing practices to identify justifiable improvement opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with a demonstrated ability to discuss a wide range of issues with people across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent relationship-building, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • A positive, proactive, can-do attitude, combined with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative.
  • High personal and professional work standards with sound planning and organizational skills.
  • OH&S Induction White Card and a current Victorian driver's licence are essential.

On Offer:

A generous salary package of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a family-oriented and supportive workplace environment with defined training and career development opportunities.
