Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Midwife to join our team at South Coast Hospital in Victor Harbor. As a Midwife, you will provide high-quality care to women in the Maternity Department, working in partnership with them to assess their needs and plan, implement, and coordinate appropriate care and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in assessing women's needs and planning, implementing, and coordinating appropriate care and service delivery.
  • Respect and support women's right to self-determination in the life processes of pregnancy, birthing, and parenthood.
  • Work in partnership with women to deliver the best possible care, with a focus on holistic midwifery and continuity of care.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal skills with all people at all times, and the ability to work as a team leader.
  • Be proficient in the use of Information Technology, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team setting.
Requirements
  • Registered as a Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practising certificate.
  • Able to be creative, innovative, and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting.
