Environmental Geoscientist

As an Environmental Geoscientist at AECOM, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of our projects. Your expertise in contaminated land management and hydrogeology will be instrumental in overseeing project-level health and safety, conducting desktop reviews, and preparing environmental reports. You will also be responsible for managing site works, including subcontractor coordination, site contamination, and hydrogeological investigations. Additionally, you will collect and manage environmental samples, perform data analysis, and interpret results using relevant software tools. Your strong skills in data management and project/proposal management will be valuable assets to our team.
Responsibilities
Oversee project-level health and safety, conduct desktop reviews, and prepare environmental reports.
Manage site works, including subcontractor coordination, site contamination, and hydrogeological investigations.
Collect and manage environmental samples, perform data analysis, and interpret results using relevant software tools.
Act as Site Manager, ensuring safety protocols are followed, maintaining site documentation, and logging geological data to required standards.
Assist in project management tasks, project controls, and financial tracking, as well as technical report writing and management of deliverables.
Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired:
Tertiary qualification in environmental science, geoscience, geology, engineering, or hydrogeology.
Minimum 2+ years' experience in contaminated land management and/or hydrogeology, with a focus on safety and subcontractor management.
Strong skills in data management using industry-standard tools and project/proposal management.
Willingness to work remotely on client sites; a valid driver's license is essential.
