The Registered Midwife plays a crucial role within the Maternity Unit, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care. This role involves a variety of responsibilities typically associated with a Registered Nurse/Midwife, focusing on patient-centered care in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in various maternity streams, including Antenatal, Postnatal, Birth Suite, Women's Surgical Unit, and Special Care Nursery.
- Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to address patient needs effectively.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve operational goals.
- Exercise sound judgment in clinical and ethical decision-making.
- Maintain AHPRA Registration and demonstrate ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Midwife.
- Proven experience in patient-centered care within surgical and acute medical settings.
- Strong ability to develop and implement operational objectives.
- Demonstrated competence in ethical and clinical judgment.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
