About the Role

Albury Wodonga Health is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse to join our leadership team as Associate Nurse Unit Manager. This role will ensure clinical practice and care are consistent with the AWH and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an expert nurse with advanced clinical skills who will provide professional clinical leadership to nursing staff in our unit. The position contributes to the SCN, The Women's and Children's Division, and the organisation in ways such as; education to staff, families and health care professionals, quality improvement initiatives, research and evidence based practice projects, professional development, and clinical and professional leadership.

The successful applicant will be involved in the operational decision making in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for enacting strategies that support a positive work-based culture in our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional clinical leadership to nursing staff in the Special Care Nursery
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve operational goals
  • Support the development of staff through education and professional development
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse, and/or Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia though AHPRA
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development as reflected in Professional Practice Portfolio
  • Graduate Certificate in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing is desirable
  • Relevant clinical and leadership experience within a Neonatal acute care setting
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with the multidisciplinary team and key stakeholders
