We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead to join our Mental Health Services South Team at the Department of Health Tasmania.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide high-level support to the Team Leader in the provision of leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective management of human and physical resources
  • Leadership, direction, and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan
  • Implementation of the associated model of care, and relevant service policies, procedures, and guidelines
About the Team:

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Services Principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years postgraduate clinical experience in a community mental health team
