Job Title:

Real Estate Lawyer

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your legal expertise in property development and corporate transactions.

You will provide critical support to the Hostplus Residential Living investment team, ensuring seamless land acquisition, due diligence activities, and negotiation of transaction documentation.

Your responsibilities will also include portfolio management, contract review, dispute oversight, and commercial legal advice.

You will work closely with directors and investment committees, identifying and mitigating legal risks across all residential investment activities.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role for an experienced property development lawyer or corporate transactional lawyer seeking to contribute to the success of a leading superannuation fund.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a property development lawyer and/or corporate transactional lawyer
  • Current practicing certification in Australia
  • Tertiary qualifications and eligibility to practice law in an Australian jurisdiction
  • Experience negotiating joint venture agreements associated with property development
  • Strong project management skills, including workstream prioritisation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work well under pressure
  • Sound judgement and structured thought
  • Attention to detail and self-motivation
