About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic to join our team. As part of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy mining equipment including CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, and Liebherr.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and repairing a range of heavy mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults, performing repairs, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime.
- Performing routine servicing and breakdown maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly, promoting safe and efficient operations.
- Collaborating with the site team to ensure seamless operations and achieve key performance indicators.
- Assisting with the mobilisation and setup of a large fleet of machinery, ensuring timely deployment and effective utilisation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic with proven trade credentials and experience in major surface mining gear.
- Proficient in working on complex equipment, identifying and addressing technical issues promptly.
- Safety-driven individual with a collaborative approach to teamwork, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Reliable, motivated, and results-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills.
